  1. Thank you so much for sharing this! Can't wait to try this once I can afford to gather the ingredients/supplies! I've noticed eating organic whole food and aromatherapy have done more for my chronic pain/fibromyalgia than all the Meds I used to be on! I was a nurse for over 25 years so I never thought this would be the case, but it is!

  2. Trauma Oil is incredibly useful for those nights when my fibromyalgia pain flares up.  It helps my body calm and helps me sleep.  I used this recipe and modified just a bit with a little bit of turmeric essential oil.  I massage my entire body with it.Smells great and it works, for the most part.  As fibromyalgia is neurological, we can only work with what we have as remedies, and this does just fine!

  3. Does it matter how the ginger essential oil is processed? I've heard that steam distilled ginger doesn't smell so good : )

  4. Hi Andrea
    Love all your recipes 😊
Does St John's wort have the same contraindications when applied topically as it does when taken orally?
i take loads of meds for fibromyalgia and bipolar and a few others. Taken orally it seems to interact with everything!
I'd love to try some natural pain relief. could you do some blends specifically aimed at Fibromyalgia pain?
Also do you have a recipe for the trauma oil?
    Thanks x

  5. I use the Trauma Oil with Lavender Bulgaria, White Pine Canadian And lemongrass from Nepal. my massage clients like the way it makes them feel afterwards.

  6. I see someone else found this blend great for fibromyalgia. Thank you for the comment, and thank you for your videos. I can hardly wait to order the Trauma oil. Dee

  7. I don't have trauma oil or spike lavender, can I use sweet almond oil and lavender (lavandula angustifolia)? I'm planning on ordering the trauma oil but I want to make this blend asap 🙂

  8. I started watching for the blend, but then I became so relaxed listening to your voice I sort of forgot the reason I was here. Great videos. Gratitude!

  9. You said I hope you never have to use it, what is the shelf life for this mixture? Does refrigeration prolong the oild blend at all?

  10. I love reading all your emails I have just recently become more and more interested in using and learning about essential oils. You have excellent information thank you so much Andrea for sharing your gift of knowledge. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward in watching more!

  11. Can I make Trauma Oil? I don't know where to buy it. I'm new to oils and I purchased the Every Oil Kit from DoTerra in hopes to have everything or close to everything I need to help make extreme pain more manageable. I have alot of health problems with crippling almost daily migraines and PTSD both from a violent assault 4 years ago, I'm lucky to be alive. I already suffered from extremely bad back pains, also my fibromyalgia I've had for last 17 years is really flared up as result of migraines, medication and stress from the assault 4 years ago. I'm desperate and seeking help to bring my pain levels down to be more manageable. I'm bedridden 2 years now. Please any help you can offer I will try everything. I'm currently on very high doses of narcotic pain killers and they just are not working as good anymore and my doses are so high now the side effects are horrible. If you have some blends for extreme pain cases, or any suggestions for me, please share. Thank you for your time reading my message. I really hope to hear from you soon. God Bless

  12. I'm goons to try this for muscle stiffness due to old accident injury. Is there a drop recommendation for the 3 oils that make up the "trauma oil", if I don't find trauma oil in health shops near by?

  13. Andrea, I've made the trauma oil, but used dried flowers. It did not have that beautiful color. Does the blend with dried flowers work as well as that with the fresh flowers?  Also, I have Gingergrass EO, not just Ginger. Will that matter?  Thank  you.

  14. Hi Andrea, I have to write this comment. First of all, I want to say thank you and let you know how much I love your videos. Now, about this chronic pain massage oil. WooHoooo!! I can't remember the last time I had a day that was pain free. I have 2 ruptured discs in my back that cause very serious sciatic discomfort and I also suffer from arthritis in my basal joints (the base thumb joint). Very painful. I wanted something a little healthier than popping Ibuprofen in my body 3 or 4 times a day. I wanted to try this recipe, but more specifically, the trauma oil. About 4 weeks ago I sent an email to Customer Service at Aromatics International, as the Trauma Oil was out of stock. They immediately responded to assure me that it would be another couple weeks as the process of infusing the oil was taking place and it could not be rushed.
Well, I received my Trauma Oil last Saturday and immediately made this recipe. No substitutions. After only 4 days of use, (only using on my hands), I can tell you, that while I still have some tenderness in my joints, the pain in my hands is so minimal. I am just so grateful. (tears of joy flowing). Please keep sharing all of your recipes, your compassion and your love of EOs and Aromatherapy. By the way. This is not the first or even the second recipe of yours that I have tried. The others are lovely and made a difference, but the impact that this particular recipe has made in my life, in such a short time, is so huge I needed to share. Thank you, again. Tracey

  15. Hello Andrea so grateful for you kindness and support for putting this videos together, so useful… .. do you think using arnica oil, calendula oil, and and St. john's wort extract will have the same effect as using fresh flowers or trauma oil? I live in Europe (England) and the cost of postage to England is expensive ($48)

  16. making herbs infused oil by keeping under sunlight or by boiling the oil with herbs…. which will give best infused oil

  17. I wanted to make this for my grandparents, but I have a question. Are there prescription medicine interactions involved with these oils when applied topically?? Thanks!

  18. wen makin recipes I don't want to use my YL oils wat r some other brands that r good to use an not expensive? thnx

  19. Loving your information. I have also been studying your aromahead institute, I am curious on your thoughts about only using certified organic oils? I am willing to spend the money on the best oils, I'm just confused on how to choose.

  20. I needed to make this blend today unfortunately I did not have any trauma oil on me.
So I filled my 60ml PET bottle 3/4 of the way with sweet almond oil and the rest with aloe vera gel. I then doubled the essential oils that Andrea suggested. Unfortunately I am not a big fan of the smell of ginger oil so I added 10 drops of peppermint essential to the mix. Instantly when I massaged this mixture into my sore and aching muscles, the pain started to ebb away.

  21. Andrea Butje, My sister had a work related injury to her shoulder almost two years ago. She was sent to physical therapy on two separate occasions and many doctors who didn't see anything wrong so chucked it up to it basically being all in her head. It wasn't about well over a year of this battle of her saying something is wrong and therapy is NOT helping that she finally got exploratory surgery where they found she had a huge tear in her in her posterior labrum that attached elsewhere on her shoulder (hence why her shoulder would literally just slide all over the place on its own), and it took three staples to close it up. After surgery and the weeks it had to spend in place to heal, she was sent for more physical therapy to regain her range of motion and strength, but because of the initial trauma and then the year and a half of additional trauma done to it, she has a frozen shoulder. Physical therapy has helped but she still has a long way to go. My question is: would you say this blend is the best way to help in her progress or do you have any other suggestions for her shoulder? Also if this is or if you recommend something else, how often should I message them on her shoulder? Sorry for the long rant, but I thought it might give you a better picture of her predicament and HATE seeing her in discomfort (pain a lot of the time) on some level every moment of every day!
