Hi, I’m Chris Irick. The worldwide product marketing manager, for the Xerox Rialto 900 Inkjet Press. Do you have a minute? I’d like to show you one of the simplest full-bleed printing workflows in the industry. Rialto comes standard with full-bleed trimming capability. The head and foot are trimmed by a guillotine cutter, and the sides, by included rotary trimmers. Full-bleed applications will require a wider web roll, than the final trimmed width. Here’s how easy it is to get started. First, set your rotary trimmers into position. This is typically a one time activity. Depending on your media width, it’s recommended to trim off at least 7.5mm from each wide. Then enable the full-bleed option in your queue. Once you submit your job, Rialto does all the work. Full-bleed trimmed pages are elegantly delivered to the stackers, with out the need for complicated pre-press. The paper trim from the sides is delivered into the waste bin, cut down into small strips as the application is printing. For customers looking to simulate the full-bleed effect, with out the waste associated with trimming, Rialto offers near edge printing. The unique ability to print safely within 1mm of the edge of the page. As you see, with Rialto, you get one of the simplest full-bleed printing workflows in the industry. That means you don’t have to be a pre-press expert, to achieve outstanding, full-bleed applications in-line.
