Fuel prices to increase as tax reduction ends on September 1st


with the government’s temporary fuel tax
reduction period ending today fuel prices will return to normal beginning
Sunday the Finance Ministry announced that the 10-month tax reduction period
will officially end on Saturday and that fuel tax will be back up beginning
September the government cut fuel tax by 15 percent from November last year to
help the public cope with the increase in global oil prices as the measures end
gasoline prices are expected to rise by four point eight cents per litter diesel
by three point four cents and LPG by one point two cents
