Brake fluid Bleeding, Brake bleeding in ABS | Automobile Maintenance and Repair Practice


Under the engine hoods check the position of master cylinder like left or Right. According to that follow bleeding Sequence. For accurate Bleeding Follow this Sequence Find bleeder plug of the wheel for greatest distance from master cylinder open cap of bleeder plug properly hang brake oil vessel on vehicle attach transparent pipe to the bleeder plug attach second end of pipe to the transparent vessel preparation of air bleeding in vehicle with ABS for bleeding in vehicle with ABS open data link connector cover connect data link connector to the scan tool turn on ignition go to vehicle selection and select vehicle model select Anti Lock Braking System (ABS) press OK go to vehicle software management select Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) air bleeding mode to start Pump motor and solenoid valve press OK wait for 60 seconds If required during this 60 seconds according to guideline in scan tool press brake pedal after 60 seconds proceed to air bleeding procedure to operate ABS motor with scan tool follow maximum time to prevent it from burning bleeding of brake During brake bleeding take help from helper to press brake pedal ask helper to press brake pedal for several time and finally as pressed condition loosen bleeding screw so air and old brake oil can came out of systems tighten the bleeding screw ask helper to slowly release brake pedal repeat this process until new Brake oil didn’t came out of system or air buble stopped seen in brake fluid tighten bleeding screw ask helper to slowly release brake pedal remove pipe and vessel attach bleeder plug cap in proper place Do bleeding in all wheels according to position of master cylinder in engine compartment follow sequence of bleeding during bleeding continuously keep filling brake fluid during this process do not allow to empty brake fluid reservoir to check for any leakage ask helper to press brake pedal to create pressure in brake system check leakage in all bleeder screw and hose pipe repair parts with leakage or tighten the parts check fluid levels in oil reservoir fill the brake fluid if required properly placed reservoir cap and strainer remove scan tool from data link connector properly attach data link connector cover to its place
